Sara is an experienced land use & zoning lawyer. She has worked in all phases of the land use and development process, including rezoning, special permit, and special exception and variance applications. Sara has represented land owners, developers, businesses and community non-profits in land use and zoning matters in the counties of Fairfax and Arlington, as well as the City of Fairfax, the Town of Vienna and the Town of Herndon. Her projects have ranged from mixed-use, office, retail and multi-family residential developments to hotels, assisted living facilities and service stations.
Sara gained invaluable experience in land use and zoning law while working for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Member, Sharon Bulova.
A native of Fairfax County, Sara is active in the community. She is a 2008 graduate of Leadership Fairfax's Emerging Leaders Program and remains active in the organization. Sara previously served as a board member for Langley Residential Support Services and now serves as a board member for the Arlington YMCA and Good Shepherd Housing.

- Obtained approval for an 85-unit assisted living facility that involved preservation of the historic Silas Burke House in Fairfax County.
- Assisted with entitlements for 33-acre mixed-use office and retail development in southeastern Fairfax County. Approval process involved adaptive reuse of construction demolition and debris landfill for new 36-acre recreation facility adjacent to the mixed-use center.
- Obtained approval for a 15-acre office park comprised of approximately 1 million square feet in proximity to the Springfield Metro Station in Fairfax County.
