As an associate in Womble Bond Dickinson’s Business Litigation Group, Patricia helps companies and individuals resolve labor and employment disputes involving discrimination and harassment claims under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the FMLA, and equivalent state laws; unemployment insurance claims before the North Carolina Division of Employment Security; claims of wrongful termination and retaliation; and alleged wage and hour law violations. Additionally, Patricia works with clients to develop employment policies, handbooks, and agreements that are in compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws to effectively anticipate and manage their risks and avoid potential litigation. Patricia’s approach to her legal practice is understanding her clients’ business goals so that she can provide them with the best legal advice going forward.
Patricia has assisted with the development of various presentations for businesses and employment-related organizations such as the Winston-Salem Society for Human Resource Management and the Winston-Salem Chamber of Commerce. Patricia is a contributor to the North Carolina Employment Law Letter and assists with the Firm’s blogs regarding the Fair Labor Standards Act and restrictive covenants.
