Kate joined the restructuring and insolvency team in 2013. She is a member of the team which acts for The Insolvency Service, an executive agency of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, in relation to public interest work. This includes public interest winding up proceedings against live companies and the investigation and disqualification of insolvent companies under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986. 

Prior to joining the firm, Kate trained in London and practised as a solicitor in Manchester earning nine years’ experience in commercial litigation, acting on behalf of a variety of large and small businesses (including insurers). Kate has previously been on secondment with The Insolvency Service when she was part of a team investigating live companies involved in various objectionable business practises.
