Jason Vick is a registered patent attorney who excels at providing foreign and domestic patent portfolio counseling in a range of technology areas. Over the last three decades, he has worked with a spectrum of clients – individual inventors, growing startups, and Fortune 50 companies – to develop IP protection and monetization strategies tailored to their needs.
Jason represents clients mainly in the electrical, computer science, telecommunications, e-business, software, electro-mechanical, semiconductor, medical diagnostic equipment, medical device, security systems, encryption, AI, ag-tech and automotive arts. His background as an electrical engineer, inventor, and former Patent Examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office helps him advise his clients in all aspects of IP law, including foreign patent prosecution, post-grant proceedings, IPRs, CBMs, and preparation of patent validity and freedom-to-operate opinions, both domestically and globally.
Throughout his career, Jason has developed a dynamic and interactive patent prosecution strategy that includes one-on-one interviews with patent examiners. Using this strategy, he has singularly conducted thousands of in-person interviews with Patent Examiners on behalf of his clients. He also excels at tackling complex procedural challenges with the U.S. Patent Office.
In addition to his domestic patent work, Jason has filed patent applications in almost every country in the world, and he has developed advanced foreign prosecution strategies and portfolio management with a well-established and trusted group of foreign associates.
