Mr. Misley concentrates his practice on intellectual property law including preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the United States and All major foreign jurisdictions. With a background in electrical engineering, he is experienced in a number of technical areas including analog and digital circuitry, communication systems, semiconductor device design and fabrication, electromagnetics, and Internet-based technologies. Mr. Misley also has experience developing patent litigation strategies, including claim constructions and invalidity arguments, in federal district court cases related to LED chip designs.
In addition to intellectual property law, Mr. Misley has also argued pro bono before the United States Immigration Court and Massachusetts Probate Courts. His pro bono cases include successfully obtaining child custody orders, domestic restraining orders, and special immigration status for a minor refugee from Central America.
