Hada's practice focuses primarily on the defense of class actions and on multi-state product liability litigation. Hada has handled a wide variety of class action cases involving claims for breach of contract, lending, and financial services, warranty, negligence, antitrust and unfair and deceptive trade practices. Hada is a member of the firm’s Consumer Financial Services and Economic Stability Solutions teams. Hada was lead counsel for the defense in several North Carolina class actions involving subprime mortgages, including Faircloth v. Financial Asset Sec. Corp. Mego Mortgage Homeowner Loan, 87 Fed.Appx. 314 (4th Cir. 2004). Hada was lead counsel for the defense in Leinhart v. Dryvit Systems, Inc., 255 F.3d 138 (4th Cir. 2001), the case that established the Fourth Circuit standards for F.R.C.P. 23(f) petitions for review of class certification orders.
