Carson Lane is a member of the firm’s business litigation practice group who focuses her practice on labor and employment law. Carson regularly advises clients on a wide range of employment issues, with experience defending employers against discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and state law equivalents, as well as in administrative actions before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.  

Carson also works with clients to protect their interests by drafting and litigating non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements, and advising employers in complying with new and changing laws.  Carson provides practical advice to help employers best position themselves to avoid legal actions by developing tailored policies, and by counseling clients regarding employee hiring, pay, leave, discipline, and terminations.
