Angelene specialises in competition, regulatory and commercial law matters, advising clients in a wide range of business sectors such as agribusiness, chemicals, cosmetics, electronics, food and beverages, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, technology, telecommunications and transportation.

Her commercial work has involved negotiating and drafting services agreements, supply agreements, purchasing agreements, collaboration agreements and distribution agreements. She works to ensure that contractual arrangements reflect clients' commercial objectives, balancing risk with the need to be practical.

With regard to her competition and regulatory work, Angelene advises on anti-competitive aspects of commercial agreements, including how to structure arrangements to ensure compliance with both EU and UK competition law. She has significant experience on working on both sides of competition authority investigations, gaining a regulator's perspective whilst working in the Antitrust Enforcement division of the UK Competition and Markets Authority.

She also has experience designing and implementing internal competition law compliance programmes for clients, which she offers alongside targeted training sessions.

Angelene regularly advises both buyers and sellers on merger control: applying for merger control clearances in the UK and under the EU Merger Regulation; and coordinating merger control filings around the world in relation to international transactions. She spent a year in-house at Sky in the Competition and Regulatory law team, where she worked on the merger control and regulatory clearances required for the proposed acquisition by 21st Century Fox, and the ultimate acquisition by Comcast.

Angelene has undertaken significant postgraduate studies, including a Masters in EU Competition Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics for Competition Law from King's College, London.
