Allison Smith has more than 25 years of experience and focuses her practice on estates, trusts, guardianships, estate proceedings, and special proceedings.

Prior to joining the firm, Allison served as an Assistant Legal Counsel for the N.C. Administrative Office of the Courts and as an Assistant Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice. In these roles, she gained experience with trusts and estates, guardianship, special proceedings, civil litigation, administrative litigation, and environmental litigation. In prior years, Allison clerked at the North Carolina Court of Appeals for retired Judge John B. Lewis, Jr. and retired Judge Linda M. McGee.

She has also assisted North Carolina Legal Aid, North Carolina Bar Foundation Wills for Heroes and North Carolina Bar Association Call4ALL as a pro bono attorney.
