PHOENIX (February 26, 2024) – Lewis Roca announces the addition of Nickolas Smith to the firm’s Litigation Practice Group as an Associate in Phoenix.

Smith focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Lewis Roca, Smith served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Lauren King at the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington and the Honorable David Weinzweig at the Arizona Court of Appeals. Additionally, Smith previously served as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Arizona, where he represented indigent capital clients during federal habeas corpus proceedings.

Smith obtained his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Loyola Marymount University.
