Womble Carlyle attorney Morris Ellison has been appointed to a blue ribbon panel charged with revitalizing Charleston’s West Ashley area.

Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg appointed Ellison, and the Charleston City Council approved that appointment on Sept. 27th. The West Ashley Revitalization Commission is a 19-member task force that will develop a comprehensive plan to revitalize the West Ashley community.

Morris Ellison represents local, national and international investors, lenders, and real estate developers in the development, financing and disposition of commercial properties and other assets. Ellison has experience in a variety of complex real estate and business-related issues including the development of several mixed-use projects, real property tax appeals, entity disputes and structuring and complex foreclosures and workouts.
