RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C.—Womble Carlyle attorney Kristina Schwartz is the new Membership Chair of the North Carolina Bar Association’s Business Law Section.
The Business Law Section is concerned with the areas of law that relate to the conduct of business, including banking law, securities regulation, business financing, acquisitions, antitrust, contracts, corporations, director liability, mergers, guarantees and other areas, and meets with the N.C. Secretary of State’s office. The section sponsors CLE programs and services; provides members with a substantive newsletter; and helps mold the association’s legislative agenda for presentation to the N.C. General Assembly.
As Membership Chair, Schwartz will be charged with identifying, recommending and implementing strategies to encourage new and continued membership in the Business Law Section.
Womble Carlyle’s Anna Mills currently serves as Chair of the NCBA Business Law Section.
Kristina Schwartz advises companies of various market capitalizations and industries in corporate and commercial transactions and general business matters. Her practice focuses on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, financings, private placements and commercial contracts. She practices in Womble Carlyle’s Research Triangle Park office.
