MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C.—Congratulations to JEAR Logistics LLC! The Charleston County-based third-party logistics company is expanding its existing operations. The $2.8 million expansion is expected to create more than 150 jobs. Hiring for the new positions is expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2016.

Founded in 2007, JEAR Logistics is a privately-held third-party logistics company and freight brokerage service that provides full and less-than truckload services – refrigerated, dry and flatbed – throughout the United States and Canada. Offering a real-time response to clients 24/7, JEAR features a custom load board, a diversified service variety and a complete carrier qualification process.

Womble Carlyle attorney Stephanie Yarbrough counseled JEAR Logistics in economic development matters, including negotiating job development credits related to this project.

Stephanie Yarbrough is a Partner at Womble Carlyle, where she practices in the areas of tax and economic development incentive matters.  A former Director of Economic Development for the City of Charleston, she has extensive experience negotiating and structuring state and local incentives to facilitate investments by domestic and international companies in South Carolina.  She works with corporate headquarters projects, manufacturing projects, data centers, warehouse/distribution centers and technology companies.
