HOUSTON—Veteran energy litigation Partners Tony Guerino and Liz Klingensmith represented Womble bond Dickinson at the 18th Annual Institute for Energy Law (IEL) Energy Litigation Conference along with Jon Sink who attended not only the 18th Annual IEL Energy Litigation Conference, but also the Young Litigator Oil & Gas Conference.
The IEL Energy Litigation Conference brought together some of the top in-house and private practice energy litigators to discuss new trends in energy litigation, recent case law of importance to energy litigators, and ways to improve an energy litigation practice. Guerino, Klingensmith and Sink attended sessions on current oil and gas case law, climate litigation, ETP v. Enterprise, in-house insights, trial perspectives including how to persuade millennial jurors, enforcing judgments, avoiding malpractice claims and trade secrets in the energy industry.
The IEL also honored Joann Lee, Exxon Mobil Corporation Associate General Counsel, with the Lifetime Achievement in Energy Litigation Award at the conference.
