CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jim Cooney has been named to a select national list of attorneys for dedicated client leadership and intimately knowledgeable service.
Cooney is a 2019 member of the BTI Client Service All-Stars . Only 335 attorneys across the country were selected for this year’s team.
Cooney practices civil and criminal law in both trial and appellate courts. He has handled some of the most complex, challenging and high profile cases in North Carolina and is recognized as one of the premier civil, “white collar” criminal, and healthcare litigators. He has represented numerous companies and individuals in complex and significant business disputes, governmental investigations, grand jury matters, internal investigations and “bet-your-company” cases for more than 30 years.
In addition to his practice, Cooney is the Chairman of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Litigation Department, where he oversees more than 300 timekeepers.
His previous awards and honors the North Carolina Bar Association’s William Thorp Pro Bono Award and Wade Smith Professionalism Award for Criminal Defense.
