CHARLESTON, S.C.— Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Chuck Baker will serve a four-year term on the College of Charleston Board of Trustees beginning July 1, 2018. Baker was recommended for this post by the College of Charleston Alumni Association and appointed by South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster.
A 1980 College of Charleston graduate, Baker has a long association with his alma mater. He is a former President of the Alumni Association (2012-14) and a former President of the Cougar Club (1995-96). He was the 2016 recipient of the school’s Alumni Award of Honor.
Chuck Baker is a trial lawyer with over 30 years of experience representing clients across a diverse range of professions, businesses, and industries. Baker focuses his practice now on real estate disputes and zoning litigation. However, he also has extensive legal experience in the construction industry, particularly representing manufacturers of construction products and materials including exterior insulation and finish systems or synthetic stucco (over 400 cases, including several class actions), fire retardant treated lumber, and windows.
