BALTIMORE—Womble Bond Dickinson will have an active role in the 2018 Maryland Clean Energy Summit, which takes place Oct. 8-10 in Baltimore.
Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Belton Zeigler, the Co-Leader of the firm’s Energy & Natural Resources Team, will take part in a panel discussion on “The Mechanics of Offshore Wind: Moving Toward the Grid of the Future”. The panel will discuss offshore wind development in the Mid-Atlantic, and how that may facilitate improvement in grid efficiency, security and resiliency. They also will look at what states are leading in efforts to capitalize on planned wind energy development, as well as what barriers to success may exist.
Zeigler will be joined in the discussion by Jason Folsom of Siemens Gamesa Wind, Atlantic Grid Development LLC President Markian Melnyk, Deepwater Wind Development Manager Joy Weber and Polity Partners Founder/Principal Josh Cohen, who will moderate the panel discussion.
