Womble Bond Dickinson to Sponsor CLEO EDGE Honors Reception and Awards Program, Recognizing Education, Diversity and Greater Equality

WASHINGTON, DC—Once again, Womble Bond Dickinson is proud to support the second Council on Legal Education Opportunity, Inc. (CLEO) EDGE Honors Reception and Awards program. This year, former Georgia Gubernatorial candidate and Democratic Party rising star, Stacey Abrams, will be honored with the CLEO EDGE Vernon E. Jordan, Jr. Heritage Award for her service and dedication to the legal profession.

Womble Bond Dickinson has long been a supporter of CLEO, and firm attorney, Pam Rothenberg, is a member of CLEO’s 14-person Board of Directors. In 2018, Womble Bond Dickinson was named an inaugural CLEO EDGE honoree in the category of Greater Equality.

The CLEO EDGE Awards recognize contributions to CLEO’s three main pillars: Education, Diversity and Greater Equality. Founded in 1968, CLEO is devoted to diversifying the legal profession by expanding legal education opportunities for persons from traditionally under-represented racial and ethnic groups, low-income, and disadvantaged communities.
