Womble Bond Dickinson is a transatlantic law firm with more than 1,100 attorneys in the US and UK, and offices from Los Angeles to London and Atlanta to Aberdeen. In the past four months, the firm has added a number of new attorneys to its US offices, including:  

  • Todd Atkinson (Houston) is a former Certified Public Accountant who now provides strategic counseling to clients in a wide array of matters such as bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and corporate restructuring. He has represented clients in large Chapter 11 Bankruptcy cases, including litigation arising in and out of those cases.
  • Lauren Baker (Atlanta) helps clients enforce their intellectual property rights in federal courts and before administrative agencies. Her practice is focused on patent, trademark and copyright litigation across multiple sectors including manufacturing, automotive and technology, among others.
  • Sarah Cansler (Raleigh, NC) counsels corporate clients on a wide range of matters including employment hiring and termination, policies and procedures, and compliance with the FLSA, FMLA, and ADA. She also guides clients in labor and employment litigation.
  • Will Curtis (Raleigh, NC) focuses his practice on bankruptcy and restructuring matters. Prior to joining Womble Bond Dickinson, he served as a law clerk in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
  • Maria Danello (Atlanta) is a member of Womble Bond Dickinson’s GCSolutions Team. She has over 10 years of experience as a litigator, working both in-house and in private practice. Maria formerly served as managing corporate counsel with a national consumer finance company.
  • Brandon Duckworth (Washington, DC) focuses his practice on assisting and counseling financial institutions, developers, homebuilders, landowners, automobile dealerships, and utility companies.  Brandon’s experience covers each stage of commercial real estate transactions.
  • Tim Hiebert, Ph.D. (Boston) has 30 years of experience as a trademark lawyer. He concentrates his practice on prosecuting domestic and foreign trademark applications and managing global trademark portfolios on behalf of his clients.
  • Travis Iams (Charlotte, NC) is an intellectual property attorney focused on mechanical patent prosecution. His practice is centered around managing large global IP portfolios and developing global IP strategies for manufacturing conglomerates.
  • Matt Orville (Charleston, SC) is a key member of the firm’s Economic Development Team, helping domestic and international companies which are seeking to expand or relocate operations to the Carolinas and the Southeastern United States. He guides clients in Fee-in-Lieu of Tax Agreements, state grants, job tax credits, job development credits, utility grants and many other economic development incentives and grants.
  • Rachel Rivkind (Boston) is a transactional attorney with more than a decade of experience in banking and finance, commercial contracts, corporate governance and real estate. She represents lenders, borrowers and sponsors in a wide range of commercial lending and secured transactions.
  • Samuel Savanich (Houston) advises clients on patent strategy related to electrical and computer engineering. A former Hewlett-Packard Enterprise patent counsel, he regularly drafts patent applications and office action responses relating to several different technologies, such as software, mechanical, and other computing technologies.
  • Tyler Train (Irvine, Calif.) centers his practice around litigation of utility patent infringement, design patent infringement, trademark infringement, unfair competition, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, and cybersquatting actions.
  • Cyd Wolf (Baltimore) brings nearly 30 years of in-house experience to Womble Bond Dickinson’s GCSolutions Team. Her practice includes advising senior executives in the banking and equipment leasing/finance industries on a broad range of legal and business initiatives, risk management and compliance.
