ATLANTA—Trade between Northern England and the Southeastern United States is vital to the economies of both regions. And as The Transatlantic Law Firm Close to Home, Womble Bond Dickinson is well-positioned to serve companies from Leeds and Newcastle to Atlanta and Charlotte.

With that in mind, Womble Bond Dickinson’s Atlanta office hosted the Northern Powerhouse Trade Mission during its visit to the Southeastern US.

During the March 20 visit, Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Ted Claypoole moderated a panel discussion on digital and technology issues. In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jennifer Cory gave a presentation titled “Immigration & Visa Basics”.

In addition to Claypoole, Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Robert Phillips, Paul Stewart, Nellie Shipley Sullivan and Simon Watts also helped organize the Northern Powerhouse session. Following the meetings, delegates and Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys enjoyed a dinner together at Marlow’s Tavern.

The Northern Powerhouse is a public-private partnership to promote economic growth in Northern England.

The Metro Atlanta Chamber and Georgia Tech University also took part in the Northern Powerhouse Trade Mission.
