COLUMBIA, S.C.—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Stephanie Yarbrough hosted an Economic Development luncheon at the Palmetto Club in Columbia on April 17. Warren Darby, Vice President of Global Business for South Carolina Power Team, and Erin Ford, Vice President of SCBIO, were the featured speakers.
Darby gave the audience an update on the South Carolina Power Team. Central to South Carolina Power Team’s mission is business recruitment and retention. Ford spoke to the audience on the state of SCBIO, the official statewide affiliate, not-for-profit, public/private life sciences industry association and economic development organization formed to actively promote, build, support, expand and convene South Carolina's life sciences industry.
In addition, those attending had the opportunity to meet and network with others in attendance representing the Economic Development community from throughout South Carolina.
The firm will host the Annual SC Economic Development Summit on May 25th in Charleston, S.C.
