WASHINGTON, DC—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Shaton C. Menzie was a speaker and organizer of the 2019 Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys, Inc. 14th Annual Leadership Conference in Washington, DC.

Menzie spoke on “The Suite Spot: Giving Legal Advice to the C-Suite and In-House Attorneys.” In addition, she served as Logistics Chair and Scholarship Co-Chair for the conference, which attracted more than 250 attendees. Speakers at the event included former US Attorney General Loretta Lynch, MasterCard North America General Counsel Pilar Ramos, World Bank Group Senior Vice-President and General Counsel Sandie Okoro, and Kelly Services, Inc. Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Hannah Lim-Johnson.

Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Rachel Gervin and Vonnetta Benjamin and Client Service Director Amy McClain also attended the conference. Marketing and Client Resource Director Kay Newman provided support.

The Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys, Inc. was formed in 2005 to inspire, inform and connect women of color in the legal profession. Leadership Institute, with sponsor financial support, has awarded over $175,000 in scholarships to law students from across the nation.
