WINSTON-SALEM, NC— Tripp Wilson, VP – Strategic Engagement and Corporate Sustainability for RAI Services Company, a subsidiary of Reynolds American Inc., has joined Womble Bond Dickinson’s Winston-Salem office. Wilson will focus his Womble Bond Dickinson practice on regulatory affairs, public policy, litigation, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters, and joins the firm as Counsel.
Wilson was General Counsel & Vice-President, Government and Regulatory Affairs at American Snuff Company before becoming Associate General Counsel and Vice President at RAI Services Company.  Since 2012, he has led Reynolds’ ESG strategy while supporting the company’s efforts to engage stakeholders and policymakers on difficult and controversial issues, including the taxation and regulation of nicotine products; human rights in the supply chain; and illicit cigarette trafficking.  He also worked to ensure that the laws regulating the manufacture, marketing, taxation, and sale of tobacco products were fairly enforced across the industry.

“At Reynolds, I worked closely with many members of the Womble Bond Dickinson team. The firm’s values, resources and areas of focus are a great fit for me as I move into private practice. I’m excited to start this new chapter in my career,” Wilson said.

“Reynolds is a cherished and long-term client of the firm, so we know Tripp well, and believe he will be a great addition to our firm,” said Womble Bond Dickinson litigation and FDA regulatory Partner Will Latham.

Wilson is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
