WASHINGTON, DC—Sarah Motley Stone and Rachel E. Keen attended the National Center for State Courts 2018 Judicial Excellence Events on November 15th and 16th in Washington, D.C.
The event provided a unique opportunity to have conversations with state chief justices regarding issues that impact the bench and the bar. Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr. hosted the reception and dinner in the Great Hall at the United States Supreme Court for the William H. Rehnquist Award for Judicial Excellence, which honors a state court judge who demonstrates the outstanding qualities of judicial excellence.
Rachel Keen is an experienced litigator who guides clients in the areas of mass torts, defective product actions, complex contract actions, and commercial tort actions—including fraud, bad faith, and unfair and deceptive trade practice cases—where the alleged damages range from loss of profits to loss of life. Her litigation experience ranges from lead counsel at trial to manager of attorney and paralegal trial preparation teams.
Sarah Motley Stone represents and advises corporations, individuals and public entities in business disputes and regulatory compliance. She provides day-to-day advice to clients in order to manage risk and resolve disputes. Stone also maintains an active education practice assisting public and public charter schools and institutions of higher education in employment, student and policy matters.
