GREENVILLE, SC—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Melinda Davis Lux has been appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for Upstate International and the World Affairs Council.
Dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of global affairs and cultures, and supported by individuals and businesses, Upstate International engages globally-minded South Carolinians directly with each other and with elected officials, civic leaders, and professionals from around the world.
Through its World Affairs Council, Upstate International provides programming to educate and engage business leaders and the community on global issues and promote a deep understanding of global affairs. World Affairs Council’s mission is to promote global identity, sustain international engagement, and facilitate intellectual discussions on critical issues facing the world, fostering a broad perspective of our ever increasing inter-dependency across the globe.
Davis Lux also serves on a number of other professional boards and committees, including the American Bar Association’s Mergers and Acquisitions Committee, the Editorial Board of the ABA’s Task Force on Model Asset Purchase Agreement, and Lex Mundi’s Cross Border Transactions Committee. Davis Lux is a Fellow of the American Law Institute and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
