BALTIMORE—UK firm Bond Dickinson LLP and Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice LLP have entered a transatlantic strategic alliance, designed to support clients in both the UK and the US.
A number of media outlets on both sides of the Atlantic have covered the news, including the Maryland Daily Record. The newspaper interviewed Womble Carlyle Baltimore Office Managing Partner David Hamilton about the global alliance and its benefits for clients.
Hamilton explained that the two firms have worked closely together for some time. One advantage to Womble Carlyle clients is access to Bond Dickinson Wealth, a subsidiary of the law firm that provides investment and financial guidance.
“For our clients at Womble Carlyle in the wealth management business, we think that’s going to be useful,” Hamilton said. “For our U.S. clients that have property or other interests in the UK and vice versa, we think that is a place where it is a bit unique.”
He also said advising clients on the recent Brexit vote is a good example of how the two firms work together to better assist clients.
