Artificial intelligence is helping law firms deliver services to clients in a better, faster, more efficient manner. Chief Knowledge Officer Bill Koch is helping ensure that Womble Bond Dickinson clients benefit from the latest innovations in AI and other technologies.

Recently, Koch was quoted in a Law360 article on how AI is changing the way large law firms operate. Koch’s comments came during his presentation at the International Legal Technology Association’s annual educational conference.

For example, AI can handle repetitive, routine tasks, which allows lawyers and staff members to focus on work that has a greater benefit to clients, he said.

“Working with these technologies makes you better at your job. It’s freeing up people for higher value work, including paralegals,” Koch said.

The Law360 article also found that, contrary to some fears, law firms aren’t replacing associates with machines. Rather, they are changing the type of work expected from new attorneys.
