ATLANTA—A Womble Bond Dickinson Commercial Real Estate Team led by Joe Foltz successfully represented the sellers in a complex transaction in Midtown Atlanta.

In the deal, Atlanta REIT Cousins Properties Inc. purchased three acres at West Peachtree Street, 3rd Street and Ponce De Leon Avenue in Technology Square. The property is slated to be the new corporate headquarters of Norfolk Southern Corp., according to media reports. Norfolk Southern is negotiating to relocate its headquarters from Virginia to Atlanta.

In addition to Foltz, attorney Jessica Johns and paralegal Linda Martin represented the selling group in the deal, which closed Nov. 7.
