COLUMBIA, SC—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jason Wyman spoke on “Filing Adversary Proceedings in Student Loan Cases” at the recent South Carolina Bar Convention.

In this presentation, Wyman and Daniel Stone of the Stone Law Firm discussed how attorneys can help their clients with student loan debt, deal compromise, student loan balances, or work out repayment. They also spoke about when lawsuits may be necessary, and the appropriate venues for such litigation.

Their January 23 presentation was part of the Consumer Law Section Seminar held at the SC Bar Convention. 

The SC Bar Convention is the premier event for the legal profession in South Carolina. This four-day event offers a wealth of education and professional development opportunities comprised of practice-specific seminars covering a number of diverse topics. More than 1,000 attorneys, judges and legal professionals from the Palmetto State attend each year, from both large and small law firm members, to solo practitioners, to approximately 140 members of the Judiciary.

Jason Wyman concentrates his practice in litigation, with particular emphasis on contested foreclosure and consumer finance litigation.  In addition, Jason has significant experience representing creditors in bankruptcy cases.
