Social media isn’t just for cat memes and dad jokes any more—increasingly, it’s where businesses go to connect to clients, customers and talent. And according to a new report by Good2bSocial, Womble Bond Dickinson is making an outsized impression on social media.

Good2bSocial’s annual Social Law Firm Index 2019 ranked Womble Bond Dickinson #52 among the country’s 200 largest law firms for social media impact and effectiveness. By comparison, the firm currently ranks 77th on the AmLaw100 list of the largest law firms in the US.

“Digital and social have developed into required components for law firm marketing,” the report states. “The Social Law Firm Index measures the effectiveness of law firm reach and engagement across the variety of online digital media channels.”

By category, the Social Law Firm Index ranked Womble Bond Dickinson as follows:

Digital Marketing Manager, Katie Briel leads the firm’s social media efforts. “Though the firm has known that social media is essential to brand success in the marketplace and started to focus attention on it years ago, our individual attorneys have begun to embrace it as essential to their practice. That along with the adoption of our new employee advocacy platform, EveryoneSocial, we are expecting to see even greater brand reach and thought leadership efforts in 2020, “Briel said.

This is the second time in recent weeks that Womble Bond Dickinson has been recognized nationally for the firm’s thought leadership and digital communications efforts. In October, Lexology named Womble Bond Dickinson as its leading firm for US Intellectual Property content creation in the 3rd quarter of 2019. In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Dan Ovanezian was recognized as a Lexology Legal Influencer in the category of US IP Law.
