Womble Bond Dickinson took home the Gold for Best Use of Twitter-USA in the 2019 Brand Management & Reputation Awards, presented by Citywealth Magazine. Katie Briel, the firm’s Digital Marketing Manager, oversees the firm’s social media accounts and is responsible for developing Womble Bond Dickinson’s overall social media campaign.
Some of the highlights of the firm’s Twitter program include:
- Sharing attorney-created content to a broader audience in real time;
- Coordinating transatlantic social media campaigns with the firm’s UK offices (@WBD_UK), including a 2018 Twitter campaign highlighting women in science and intellectual property;
- Spotlighting the firm’s efforts to promote diversity and inclusion; and
- Informing clients, colleagues and other interested parties about the many developments in the firm’s 19 US offices.

Business moves at such a fast pace, and with Twitter, you can deliver information to a worldwide audience and receive feedback instantly,” Briel said. “We have made Twitter and other social media platforms a focus of our overall communications program, and we are honored to be recognized for these efforts in the Brand Management & Reputation Awards.”

The 2019 Brand Management & Reputation Awards “highlight outstanding work in the internal business development function supporting the wealth management industry.” This year’s contest received more than 200 submissions. Honorees were recognized at a June 19 event in London.
