BALTIMORE—Womble Carlyle’s Heather Pruger is a winner of the 2016 Leadership in Law Award, presented by The Daily Record.

Pruger is one of just 38 lawyers from across the state of Maryland to be honored as a recipient of a Leadership in Law Award in 2016.

Pruger, a Corporate & Securities attorney in Womble Carlyle’s Baltimore office, was honored in the Generation J.D. category. According to The Daily Record, “Generation J.D. shines a light on young and rising lawyers who are already making their mark on the profession, in the courtroom and the community.”

Service to the profession and the community are key components of the Leadership in Law Awards. Pruger serves in leadership roles in a number of civic and legal industry organizations, including serving on the Maryland State Bar Association’s Technology Committee. She recently joined the Advisory Board of Baltimore Corps, an organization dedicated to addressing the city’s most challenging issues by mobilizing a new generation of leaders. Pruger also is a leader of the CollegeBound Foundation’s Annual Lawyers’ Campaign, which helps connect Baltimore students with resources that allow them to apply for and attend college.

The 2016 Leadership in Law Awards will be presented at a May 5th ceremony in Annapolis, Md. Winners will be profiled in the following day’s edition of The Daily Record.
