Womble Carlyle Telecom attorney Gregg Skall was among the speakers at the 63rd annual Texas Association of Broadcasters Convention & Trade Show.
Skall spoke on “Midway to AM Revitalization.” The first FM translator auction is done and the next is just starting. Skall discussed how the FCC’s AM revitalization effort is playing out and the likelihood for unanticipated consequences from the translator relocations. In addition, he offered a look ahead at the opportunities from other revitalization changes and proposals.
Skall’s presentation took place August 11th.

Gregg Skall represents broadcasters and other parties in their regulatory dealings before the Federal Communications Commission and in their commercial business dealings. He serves as Washington Counsel to several state broadcaster associations. He also works with telecommunications companies and with radio device manufacturers to obtain FCC approvals and to assure regulatory compliance. Skall is a frequent author on broadcasting and the law and is published in All Access, where his column “FCC Uncensored” is a regular feature.
