CHICAGO—In addition to being a highly respected attorney in the telecom sector, Womble Bond Dickinson’s Gregg Skall also has devoted countless hours to efforts to combat Lyme disease and other tick-borne illnesses.

With that in mind, Skall will be a speaker at the 2018 International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) Annual Conference. Skall, the long-time pro bono counsel for the National Capital Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Association, will give a two-part presentation on “Protecting Your Practice: Legal Insights” on Nov. 2-3. He will be joined in the presentation by attorneys Dan Dutko, Susan Green and Jacques Simon.

This presentation will address such topics as:

  • Dealing with medical boards;
  • Avoiding mistakes that could lead to malpractice claims;
  • Good office practices for physicians and staff members; and
  • What do if you are subject to an investigation.

Skall and other speakers will address recent legal events related to Lyme disease and its treatment.

ILADS is a nonprofit, international, multidisciplinary medical society dedicated to the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of Lyme disease and its associated illnesses. ILADS promotes understanding of Lyme and associated diseases through research, education and policy. The organization supports physicians, scientists, researchers and other healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing the standard of care for Lyme and associated diseases.

Gregg Skall represents broadcasters and other parties in their regulatory dealings before the Federal Communications Commission and in their commercial business dealings. He serves as Washington Counsel to several state broadcaster associations. He also works with telecommunications companies and with radio device manufacturers to obtain FCC approvals.
