What do Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Viola Davis, Benedict Cumberbatch and OFS Fitel have in common? All are Emmy Award winners.
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded the 2016 Emmy for Pioneering Invention and Deployment of Fiber Optic Cable to Bell Labs/Western Electric (OFS Fitel). Company officials received the award at a January 7th ceremony in Las Vegas.
Atlanta-based OFS Fitel is a leading manufacturer and innovator in the fiber optic cable industry. In recent years, the company has worked closely with movie and TV productions to provide fiber optic cable solutions—and has earned rave reviews for its work in this sector.
In recent years, Womble Carlyle attorneys Joe Foltz and Mark Burr in Atlanta have developed license agreements for OFS under which major motion picture and television production companies have used the OFS campus for filming- with the added bonus of using the state of the art fiber optic products manufactured by OFS on the site.
Congratulations to the OFS Fitel team!
