Steve Middlebrook, one of Womble Bond Dickinson’s leading FinTech attorneys, will be a featured speaker Tuesday, Nov. 7 at The Clearing House Annual Conference. The conference is one of the oldest and largest in the country focused on the commercial banking industry. Middlebrook will be discussing what payment providers should know about the Dodd-Frank Act’s unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices as well as what they should expect in the near future.

Middlebrook will be joined in discussion by Elizabeth A. Corbett of Alston & Bird LLP and Christina Tetreault, an attorney in Consumers Union’s Financial Services Program Team. The panel will be moderated by Duncan Douglass of Alston & Bird.

For more than 20 years, Steve Middlebrook has helped clients navigate complex regulatory and compliance matters in emerging payment technologies, prepaid and stored value products, mobile payments, web-based financial services, virtual currency and distributed ledger technology. His prior experience includes being General Counsel at two FinTech companies, and a decade’s service at the US Department of the Treasury.
