Carri Bennet to Offer D.C. Insiders’ Perspective on Rural Telecom Issues at NTCA’s RTIME 2018

AUSTIN, TEXAS—Womble Bond Dickinson’s Carri Bennet will be among the speakers at the NTCA 2018 Rural Telecom Industry Meeting & Expo (RTIME).
Bennet will take part in the DC Insiders’ Perspective roundtable during the conference’s closing session. Panelists will focus on the impending opportunities presented by the Connect America Phase 2 auction and other universal service reforms, political dynamics on Capitol Hill and at the FCC, and how rural providers’ advocacy must evolve to engage and persuade the decision-makers in Washington today. Specific topics also will include the government’s role in net neutrality, cybersecurity, network reliability and telecom infrastructure initiatives.
Presented by NTCA – The Rural Broadband Association, RTIME is rural America's largest annual telecommunications industry event. The 2018 conference takes place February 25–28 in Austin.
Carri Bennet has more than three decades of experience representing wireline, wireless and broadband communications providers, as well as commercial and noncommercial broadcasters, in regulatory compliance matters. She has a particular focus on advocating for small rural carriers, including serving as General Counsel to the Rural Wireless Association. Bennet represents telecom industry clients before the FCC, state regulatory agencies, the courts, and Congress.
