GREENVILLE, SC—Funds raised from the 2019 YMCA of Greenville Annual Campaign will positively benefit 9,220 families and individuals in Greenville through a variety of programs. The $1,259,595 fundraising total is the largest amount raised in the association’s history.
And Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP’s Chief Administrative Officer, Barbara Fountain, helped make it possible.
Fountain served as Chair of the Annual Campaign. The more than $1.25 million raised will provide scholarships for wellness memberships, childcare, afterschool and sports programs, the Youth in Government program, day camps and summer residential camps.
“When we set a goal to raise $1.25 million for this year’s campaign, we knew it would be ambitious and require hard work,” Fountain said. “But when we saw how many lives we could impact by giving them an opportunity to better their health, mind and spirit, the volunteer fundraisers and the YMCA staff committed to raising the funds that we knew would not only improve the lives of individuals but also improve our community.”
Fountain also is serving her fourth year on the YMCA Metro Board. Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jonathan Cote serves on the YMCA’s Youth in Government Board.
