ATLANTA—Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Laura Kees and Emily Whittaker and Director of Client Service Rudy Gaines are hosting a Feb. 13 roundtable discussion of 2018’s most significant trademark decisions. The lunchtime session takes place in Womble Bond Dickinson’s Atlanta office and is presented by the International Trademark Association (INTA).
In this roundtable, Kees, Whittaker, and Gaines will review important 2018 decisions affecting substantive law and day-to-day trademark practice. This roundtable will cover key federal court decisions and precedential Trademark Trial and Appeal Board decisions.

Laura Kees concentrates her practice on managing trademark and copyright portfolios; counseling clients on risks associated with proposed names and marks; evaluating when applications for domestic and/or international registration should be filed and advising how and when to maintain those registrations.
Emily Whittaker regularly counsels clients in trademark prosecution, preparing and filing trademark applications and trademark renewals with the US Patent and Trademark Office. She also performs trademark investigations and trademark searches for availability, both in international venues as well as in the US.
