TUCSON, ARIZ. - Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Andy Rennick was a speaker at the 2019 Captive Insurance Companies Association International Conference. In addition, Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Jeff Simpson attended the conference, which attracted more than 500 professionals in the captive insurance industry.
Rennick spoke on “Capturing the Future: Innovative Micro-Captive Solutions”. He was joined in the discussion by Steve Watson, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Biltmore Companies, and Ryan Ralston, Managing Director for Risk Management at Elevate Captives.
Rennick and the panel discussed how Enterprise Risk Captives (ERCs) can be used to provide creative risk management solutions for mid-sized companies. They also discussed ways in which ERCs can address shortcomings in the commercial insurance market, fund for uninsured events, and implement a holistic enterprise risk management approach.
The 2019 CICA International Conference took place March 10-12 in Tucson.
