GREER, S.C.—Womble Carlyle attorneys Allen O’Rourke and Claire Rauscher will discuss “Cybersecurity—What’s at Stake for Your Company?” at a National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) event.

The rapid growth of data breaches and cyber-attacks has upended how we think about cybersecurity. Once relegated to the IT Department, now cybersecurity has become a top priority for C-suite executives, board members and general counsel. What's now at stake and how are companies adapting?

O’Rourke and Rauscher will be joined in the discussion by Rich Rogers, Vice President of Information Services and Chief Information Officer of the Greenville Health System, and Richard Sedory, General Counsel, Senior Vice President and Secretary of Wastequip, LLC.

The event takes place Monday, May 15 at the Greenville Spartanburg Airport.

Claire Rauscher brings more than 25 years of courtroom experience to Womble Carlyle’s White Collar Criminal Defense and Cyber & Privacy Law teams. Rauscher focuses her practice on complex white collar litigation, and has represented clients in all phases of state and federal proceedings, including pre-indictment investigations, grand jury practice and criminal trials.

Allen O’Rourke represents clients in cybersecurity preparedness, data breach response and investigation, as well as in defending clients faced with civil litigation, regulatory action, or government investigation related to data breaches and cyber-attacks.  O’Rourke also is an experienced trial and appellate attorney who represents clients in a broad range of civil and criminal matters. Before joining Womble Carlyle, he served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, where he focused on cybercrime.
