Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Joe Tirone and Belton Zeigler took part in the Business Network for Offshore Wind (BNOW) Leadership 100 Summit. The event took place Jan. 16-18 in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Tirone and Zeigler are co-leaders of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Energy & Natural Resources Sector Team. The event brings together the top 100 leaders in the offshore wind industry to “identify and discuss important initiatives to advance the US offshore wind sector and its supply chain.”

Tirone serves on the BNOW Board of Directors. The Business Network for Offshore Wind is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization solely focused on the development of the U.S. offshore wind industry and advancement of its supply chain. BNOW brings together developers, policymakers, academia, global experts and more than 150 member businesses for critical discussions and unprecedented networking opportunities.

Joe Tirone is the co-leader of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Energy & Natural Resources Sector. His practice focuses on energy project and infrastructure development, mergers and acquisitions and project finance. He has represented energy sector companies in structuring, negotiating and drafting a range of complex contracts and agreements. Tirone advises various stakeholders in a broad range of issues in the renewable generation sector, including developers, equity participants, equipment providers, and financing parties. His experience includes working as in-house counsel for an independent power producer in connection with the development, construction and finance of power generation facilities.

Belton Zeigler provides clients with solutions to complex energy, utility, environmental and cybersecurity matters based on more than 30 years of energy industry experience. He has served as general counsel to a major electric and natural gas utility, where he also had managerial responsibility for industrial customer relations, power marketing and strategic planning.
