Womble Carlyle attorneys Barry Herman and Julie Hopkins both participated in the Maryland State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting.

Herman currently serves as Chair of the MSBA’s Intellectual Property Section and ran the IP Section portion of the meeting. Hopkins is Immediate Past Chair of the IP Section.

The MSBA Annual Meeting took place June 14-17 in Ocean City.

Barry Herman is an intellectual property litigation partner working in Baltimore. He represents both domestic and foreign clients in a wide range of intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on patent litigation in district courts, the International Trade Commission, and the USPTO. 

Julie Hopkins practices trademark prosecution, registration and enforcement in the United States and worldwide, including searching and clearance of brand names, logos, slogans, and trade dress. She also represents clients in trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
