Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Carson Lane has been appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association’s newly-created Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee.
The Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Committee was established to secure full equality for members of the LGBTQ+ community in the NCBA, the legal profession, and society. Committee members will work to oppose discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression; to promote the expertise and advancement of LGBTQ+ legal professionals; and to serve the larger LGBTQ+ community through providing legal education, resources, and information to the legal community and the public.
Carson Lane is a member of Womble Bond Dickinson’s Business Litigation Group who focuses her practice on labor and employment disputes. Carson’s broad-based experience litigating complex commercial matters in state and federal court positions her to advise clients on a wide range of employment issues including discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims. In addition, Carson works with clients to develop legally compliant agreements, handbooks and policies.
