Womble Bond Dickinson has long been a supporter of the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA), so when MCCA held its annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference, the firm was among the most active participants. The 2020 Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference took place virtually Oct. 20 and 27.

Kevin Lyn, the Chair of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, is also a member of MCCA’s N-GEN Advisory Board, served on the Pathways Advisory Council, and attended the conference. Other Womble Bond Dickinson attendees included attorneys Bryant Caldwell, Tara Cho, Sonny Haynes, Karthika Perumal, and Toni Peck.

In addition:

  • Sonny Haynes was recognized as a 2020 MCCA Rising Star at the convention.
  • David Carter and Tara Cho were selected for pitch sessions with corporate in-house attorneys attending the conference.
  • In addition to attending the conference, Kevin Lyn, Karthika Perumal, and Dwayne Sam also attended the Oct. 28 MCCA Virtual Gala.

The annual Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference focuses on global diversity and inclusion, talent optimization, inclusive leadership and management to bolster the promotion and retention of diverse attorneys. The program offers practical development tools, best practices and resources for individual lawyers and organizations.
