Womble Bond Dickinson attorneys Tony Chen, Mason Freeman and Vincent Look and Talent Management Operations Manager Heather Barber represented the firm at the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) 2020 Global TEC Virtual Summit.

The May 6 event replaced the previously scheduled Global TEC Forum, which had to be rearranged due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Session topics included:

  • The Importance of Racial Awareness in Leadership;
  • The Legal Intersection of Diversity & Technology;
  • Cybersecurity & the Board: Governance & Best Practices;
  • Inclusive Leadership During Times of Crisis.

The MCCA’s annual Global TEC Forum: Empowering Change in Technology, Education and Careers (“G-TEC”) addresses diversity, inclusion & equity in the tech industry and the latest disruptions and challenges facing the legal profession. It was a direct response to the lack of diversity in the tech industry and specifically to general counsel who shared that it was a challenge recruiting and retaining under-represented minorities for their departments and as outside counsel.
