Long one of America’s leading tourist destinations, Charleston, S.C. has become an increasingly important location for international companies. Global companies in a wide range of industries, from aviation to technology to automotives, have invested billions of dollars in the South Carolina Low Country in the past 20 years.
Womble Bond Dickinson Partner Stephanie Yarbrough has helped many of these companies in their economic development efforts. On Wednesday, Jan. 18, she moderated two panel discussions on “Charleston’s Competitiveness on the World Stage.”
The first panel discussion featured two international business experts—German Consul General Melanie Moltmann and South African Consul General Motumisi Tawan, Ph.D. The second panel focused on site selection and featured:
- Susan Arledge, Newmark;
- Bruno Ferrand, Nect2US, Inc.; and
- Tom Stringer, JD, BDO United States.
The event was presented by the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and took place at the Harbour Club at Westedge in Charleston.
