As part of Womble Bond Dickinson’s legal and community advocacy initiatives, the firm’s LatinX affinity group partnered with the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA) to attend a recent meeting with members of the Administration at the White House. The primary purpose of the meeting was to address issues of common concern to the LatinX community.

WBD partner Marcantonio Barnes participated in the meeting between the HNBA-led delegation and members of the President’s cabinet to discuss strategies and opportunities for collaboration on issues such as judicial and executive appointments, technology access, procurement, immigration, and voting rights.

Barnes is the chair of the firm’s LatinX affinity group and a corporate partner in WBD’s Tysons office. He is a passionate facilitator of connection, advocacy and ensuring that shared values with respect to diversity and inclusion are reflected within the firm, across the firm’s engagements with clients, and throughout the larger community. WBD continues to expand its work in this area through innovative and dynamic partnerships with public and private leaders in the community.
