HOUSTON—Womble Bond Dickinson attorney Karthika Perumal will be among the speakers at the 33rd annual State Bar of Texas Advanced Intellectual Property Law Course.
The Advanced IP Law Course, co-sponsored by the Intellectual Property Law Section of the State Bar of Texas, focuses on the current issues in the U.S. and international intellectual property law and provides a platform for robust and strategic discussion with a diverse group of IP practitioners from Texas and across the country.
Karthika will present on the current case law regarding patent exhaustion and how to navigate patent exhaustion in structuring transactions involving patented products. Her presentation is part of the Patents in IP program of the course. Other programs will focus on Trademarks, Women in IP Law and an Overview of IP. The Advanced Intellectual Property Law Course takes place February 5-7, 2020 in Houston.
In January, Karthika was selected to be part of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellows class of 2020.
