WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, N.C.—Womble Carlyle Labor & Employment attorney Jill White will speak at the American Staffing Association (ASA) North Carolina Staffing and Recruiting Conference.
White will give a presentation titled “Employment Law Update: Hot Topics for North Carolina Staffing and Recruiting Firms.”
The event, which brings together staffing, recruiting, and workforce solutions professionals from across the state, takes place May 18-19 in Wrightsville Beach.
Jill White is an experienced labor and employment who regularly represents employers in the courtroom and before administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. and North Carolina Department of Labor. Her practice includes defending clients against wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act and state wage and hour laws), discrimination and retaliation claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Jill advises clients on taking practical steps to prevent exposure to liability under the vast array of federal and state employment laws. She assists clients with their employment policies, handbooks, employment agreements (including non-competition, non-solicitation and/or confidentiality agreements), and provides guidance with employee terminations.
